This 4 star hotel is located on one of the most beautiful and best-known corners of Toledo known as "Los Cigarrales". It is formed by a group of country houses highly regarded due to their location next to the river, and the panoramic views over the city. This hotel maintains the architectural style of its surroundings and is located in a truly privileged site as it is only five minutes away from the historical centre of the city. During its rich history, Toledo has attracted aristocrats, intellectuals and artists, including El Greco, who resided there from 1579 until his death in 1614. His paintings are found throughout the city. One large and well known work, "The Burial of the Count of Orgaz," is on view at the Church of Santo Tome, built in the Mudejar style in the 14th century at the behest of Don Gonzalo Ruiz de Toledo, Master of the House of Orgaz, the painting's central figure.
