Getting there. A regular underground metro service runs from the airport to central Madrid. The station is located in terminal 2 and is on line 8 (pink). Change to line 9 at Colombia Station, then line 1 at Plaza de Castilla Station for Estrecho. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes. An airport bus runs to central Madrid's Plaza de Colon terminal. The bus departs every 10 minutes and tickets cost 2.40 EUR. Taxis to Hotel 4C Bravo Murillo cost about 30 EUR, including an airport surcharge.
Getting around. The squares and narrow streets in central Madrid are best explored by foot. An extensive public bus and metro system offers a cheap and efficient way to get around the city. Driving directions. From the airport, take the M 30 in the direction of the A1 to Burgos. Exit to Plaza de Castilla. Continue along Calle Mateo Inurria until arriving at Plaza de Castilla. From Plaza de Castilla, turn right at the roundabout to enter Bravo Murillo.
